The video explores the great pinhole meridian line created by Gian Domenico Cassini in 1655 inside the Basilica of San Petronio in Bologna, one of the most remarkable astronomical instruments of the early modern period.
The film was produced within Ferrara delle Scienze 2026 – Il Cielo, a Public Engagement project of the University of Ferrara devoted to the ways in which the sky is observed, measured, represented and communicated.
